    4th Annual Environmental Club Coordinators Connect

    Teacher coordinators of partner environmental clubs

    Our annual full-day gathering for the teachers who keep clubs running: workshops, resource hand-overs and joint planning for the school year. The 3rd Annual Connect on 26 August 2026 brought together around 40 coordinators from Regions 1 to 6, with travel support for those coming from outlying regions.

    Invitations go to every registered coordinator. Register your club or confirm your seat by email.

    Conservation Conversations - Sixth Edition

    Students, educators, partners and the general public

    Our public dialogue series hosted with the Protected Areas Trust. The fifth edition ran on 31 July 2026 under the theme “Inspiring Change, One Conversation at a Time” and featured Rt Hon David Lammy, MP. The sixth edition is in planning; student seats are reserved at every edition.

    Ask to be added to the invitation list, or request a block of student seats for your school.

    E-STEM Sessions - 2026/2027 School Year

    Registered environmental clubs, upper primary to sixth form

    Hands-on environment-plus-STEM sessions: water quality testing, drone education, field data collection and team conservation challenges. Coordinators book a date for their club, term by term, with an intensive block over the July-August holidays.

    Information Tree Presentations

    Schools and public institutions nationwide
    Who it's for
    Schools, public institutions and partner organisations

    A short ceremony where an EMC Foundation Information Tree is installed and handed over, carrying facts about Guyana's biodiversity into a space people already use. Recent recipients include the British High Commission in Guyana.

    Institutions send a short request describing the site and who it serves.

    Student Internship Intake

    Where
    60 Area H Ogle, East Coast Demerara, plus field sites
    Who it's for
    University of Guyana and other tertiary students

    Six-week placements for tertiary students: club visits, E-STEM support, field data collection and educational material. Applications open in the months before the July-August break.

    Send a CV, a short statement of interest and a letter from your department at least six weeks before your intended start.
