LBI Secondary Environmental Club

The club's story

On October 1, 2025, the EMC Foundation, with support from the ExxonMobil Foundation, visited La Bonne Intention (LBI) Secondary School to engage with the newly formed Environmental Club, meeting both the Club Coordinator and enthusiastic student members. The session welcomed 19 students from Forms 1 to 4, alongside three teachers, with the goal of introducing.

What this club takes part in

• E-STEM Sessions

  Hands-on environmental science, technology, engineering and maths workshops delivered at clubs each month.

• Drone & Tech Demos

  Members fly drones, map their school grounds and learn how technology supports conservation monitoring.

• Tree Planting & Clean-Ups

  Clubs green their schoolyards, restore mangroves and lead community clean-up campaigns.

• Ollie & Arya Story Sessions

  Listening sessions of 'Ollie the Otter's River Adventures' and 'Arya Takes a Swim' spark conversations about wildlife.

• Conservation Conversations

  Older members join panel discussions with scientists, diplomats and conservation leaders.

• Coordinators Connect

  Club coordinators meet annually to share ideas, resources and plans for the year ahead.
